Dan Thies has revised his book SEO Fast Start in May 2008. If you don’t know who Dan Thies is, let me just say that he’s a keyword Guru and a SEO expert.
Dan explains the steps clearly on how to do SEO for websites. The methods are strictly white hat and will last for many years to come. In fact, Dan mentions that not a great deal has changed if you have read his ebook a few years back.

I’ll also go ahead and vouch for the SEO Research Labs service that Dan provides. I’ve tried it out a couple times on some personal sites, and it saved me a ton of time and hassle. And it was just as good as if I had done it myself, so that’s an obvious plus.
