How To Create a Profitable Business Using Ghostwriters

A simple business model even a newbie can follow.

Squidoo Lens and Web Traffic

If you haven’t created a Squidoo lens yet, then I would advise you to do so as soon as possible.

People have been raving about this free online service for years and while it’s not as strong as it used to be when it first came out, Squidoo is still very effective in driving traffic to your website, as they perform well in the search engines.

You need to start creating your Squidoo lens as soon as you can because the names of the lens has to be unique. This means that if you want to create a lens on ‘mobile phones’ then you would want to call your lens with the same name so that you will rank well in the search engine for that term.

I’ve created some Squidoo lens for my ghostwriting business and it has helped in traffic. I’ve just created one today at http://www.squidoo.com/freelancewriterarticle

Look at how I use the keywords in the lens to rank high in the search engines. Start creating a lens now. It’s not hard.

Profits From Information Products

Profits From Information Products

Creating information products is one of the best ways to make money online. A lot of affiliate marketers may not agree with this, but let me explain.

When you try to sell a product on the internet, whether it’s a physical product, software or ebook, what is the major factor that will determine how many sales you’ll get?

The answer is not the product, not the sales letter and not the pretty graphics.

The deciding factor of how many sales you will get is web traffic. You need to targeted traffic to your web page that is advertising the product to generate sales. No matter how ground breaking your product is, without traffic, it’s nothing!

So what is the best way to get traffic?

If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you know that I’ve gone into detail with a lot of methods such as article marketing, directory submission, email marketing, solo ads, search engine optimization etc…

You can use any one of these techniques or if you have the time, you can use all of them. However, it takes time to build the traffic you need. Unless of course you have a lot of money to throw at pay per click.

The quickest way to get traffic to your website so that you can test how well your product will sell is by creating an information product.  Let me explain.

plr products

PLR Products especially membership sites are plenty on the internet.

Many internet marketers that produce these kind of websites are outsourcing the products and content to freelancers. The problem is, a lot of these freelancers are non-native English speakers.

This seemed like an opportunity to produce a membership site with quality PLR products. Something which people would be proud of to own and sell.

This made me partner with a good friend of mine, Dee Ferdinand of http://www.minisiteguru.com

We’ve been working together over the past 3 months on creating a quality PLR membership site. Products with well written ebooks, professional minisite graphics and high converting video squeeze pages – something that is hard to find in the market.

Well this project has finally launched. It’s called Niche Empire.

It’s a limited unique PLR membership with products that you can change and sell in your own name. There’s training in the members area that teaches you what to do with the products, step by step.

To add something really special for the members, there’s a business blueprint included which shows how to use the products and training to build your own internet empire.

To get a simplified copy of this business blueprint, you can download it at http://www.niche-empire.com/gifts.htm

directory submission service

I am currently thinking of ways to promote my ghostwriting services website and I came across a site which I found to be pretty good and inexpensive

The name is DirectoryMaximizer. It’s a service to improve your search engine rankings by submitting your website to free or paid directories.

I just bought their service for $5.00 which includes submitting my website to 36 free directories. The time for me to do this myself would probably take one whole day. So $5 justifies it.

The good thing about Directory Maximizer is that your website is submitted manually and you can also schedule when the submissions will be complete. I’ve chosen to submit to 36 directories in a span of 2 weeks.

If the results are good, I will be submitting to another 36 directories in two week’s time. $5 for at least one day’s work is a no-brainer. I’m hoping I to see some positive results for http://www.bestinstantsites.com

Ghostwriting Services – Squidoo Lens

I just finished writing up my Squidoo lens on ghostwriting services.

Let’s see what the power of Squidoo can do to traffic.

I do hope you like the information in the lens. I’ll be driving traffic to it by article marketing and other marketing methods. I’ll be posting to let you know the results. So far, this lens is not even indexed.

Check out the lens on ghostwriting services at:

ghostwriting servicesGhostwriting has always been one of my strong points. I can do detailed research and write in good English quickly. Essential qualities for a ghostwriter.

I have never considered ghostwriting as a business until the beginning of October, when I spoke with Bev Clement, a professional ghostwriter from the UK.

She knew what my strengths were and gave me suggestions on the possibility of turning that skill into a business. I was thinking about her suggestion and decided to go ahead, considering Bev knows what she’s talking about.

I decided to make a presence in this field.

A week later, I released a special offer to a forum of internet marketers where I offered my ghostwriting services. However, I wanted to make the offer special and decided to throw in a few extras.

My special offer which was posted on October 15th, included:

  • a custom written 20 page information product (~5,000 words)
  • a professional formatted mini-site (header graphics, footer,  ebook cover and order button)
  • a video squeeze page (a video with an opt-in form to capture email addresses)
  • 7 follow up emails (autoresponder messages)
  • a short-copy web sales letter
  • and installation of all the above on your website

All this was offered at $297. No I haven’t gone mad. I just wanted to test out my idea and collect some testimonials.

Well the offer was limited to 10 people but it was sold out within 5 hours. I was very pleased.

I increased the price to $377 for 5 more people, and that sold out as well.

Good cash, but now the work.

What followed was a month of pure, concentrated hard work. I was working 5 days a week for 8 hours and sometimes on a Saturday. I was drowning with requests.

Receiving the feedback from the customers was uplifting. They seemed very pleased with the quality of work I produced.

So What Did I Learn From My Ghostwriting Experience?

1. People were not that concerned about the time line. They were more concerned about the quality of the content delivered.

2. I can manage to ghostwrite a complete turnkey system for 15 clients in a month. Although I will not offer that many services with the package anymore.

3. The video squeeze page and autoresponders were bonuses which took up a lot of my time (they need to be taken out)

4. The personal installation was not needed by most people. I will also take this out this service.

5. I’ve learned so many things from researching the niches. I felt so knowledgeable after a month.

6. People will pay for quality ghostwriting. I just sold 2 packages after I marked up the price and offering less.

7. Ghostwriting does not have to be about writing cheap articles at $4 each. The market will pay you more if you can deliver quality.

Overall, I am overjoyed with this new business model I have. I get paid good money for it and it’s something that I can do well.

Internet marketing selling is so easy to do compared to the usual brick and mortar selling. It’s because you can give out free information to people in sites such as article directories, blogs, forums and video sites.

So how do you sell when by providing information free to other people?

You can do this by giving them incomplete content. Let me explain.

Say for example, you go to a forum and tell everyone that you have a free report for them to download which is related to what they are interested in. Ask them that you appreciate some honest feedback for the product and that there is no opt-in required to download the report. You’ll have many fanatics downloading that report in no time.

In your report, tell them of several solutions to solve their problems. Then for a more detailed version, they can opt-in to another free report which you have. Since the readers have a taste of the good information that you’ve provided, they won’t hesitate on giving their emails to subscribe to another report of yours. Using this technique you’ll find that you can increase your subscribers a lot more than using the usual standard ways.

Next in both of your free reports, tell them of a paid product of yours which has further details of what your free report has. Tell them that it describes everything in a step by stpe format and goes into much detail. If your report is good, you’ll increase your subscribers and customers greatly. This is internet marketing at its best.

3 Ways To Use A Blog For Traffic

BloggingOne of the easiest ways for you to add content to your website is by running a blog.  There are plenty of blogging systems, the most popular being WordPress that can be added to your website in a matter of minutes.

The fact of the matter is, a blog can be one of the best ways for you to pull traffic into your website consistently.  Here are three different ways that you can use blogs to receive that traffic.  You should make sure that you are doing these on a regular basis and you would be surprised with how quickly your traffic will grow.

Search Engine Optimization – A blog is one of the easiest ways for you to begin using search engine optimization to pull in free traffic.  After the initial keyword research is done, you can begin writing short articles and adding them to your blog automatically.

You can even stack up these articles within the blogging platform and have them added on a daily basis without actually having to go in and add them.  Because people tend to give credence to blogs and the linking is something that is done automatically through the pinging process, you may be able to rank well for your keywords in a short period of time.

Leaving Comments – Traffic from blogs does not necessarily need to only come from your blog.  If you are subscribed to somebody else’s blog that receives a lot of traffic, you may be able to get direct links from them by adding comments to their new posts.  It doesn’t even matter if they have the no follow attribute enabled on outbound links, you can still get direct traffic from clicks.

The real secret is to know whenever they add content quickly so that you can be one of the first to leave a comment.  The higher on the list your comment is, the more clicks you are going to get.

Guest Blogging – Here is another way for you to get traffic from somebody else’s blog.  Find blogs that are related to your niche and offer to write some unique content for their blog in exchange for a link back to your website.

Most people will be more than happy to allow you to do so, especially if you have a reputation for knowing the niche.  Try offering to be a guest blogger at least once per day, you would be surprised with how quickly this can grow your traffic.
